Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 March 2026 · Version 2.0

Plain English: TripHunt is a free comparison service — not a travel agent. We show live flight prices and link you to airlines and booking sites where you complete the purchase. We earn a small commission from our affiliate partners at no extra cost to you. We are not ATOL protected and not FCA authorised.

1. About TripHunt

TripHunt ("we", "us", "our") operates triphunt.org, a flight deal discovery and price comparison service for UK travellers. TripHunt is a sole trader business. For contact details see Section 15.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TripHunt website and any associated services. By using TripHunt you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What TripHunt is (and isn't)

TripHunt provides an information and comparison service only. We display flight prices sourced from third-party data providers (principally Google Flights via SerpAPI / TravelPayouts), identify deals we believe are below typical market rates, and link you to airlines and booking sites where you complete your purchase.

TripHunt does not: sell flights, holidays, hotels, car hire, or any travel product directly; hold any ATOL licence; act as a travel agent; act as an insurance intermediary; or collect any payment on behalf of airlines or travel providers.

All contracts for travel bookings are made directly between you and the relevant airline, hotel, or travel provider. Their own terms and conditions apply to your booking.

3. Affiliate disclosure

TripHunt earns a commission when you click our affiliate links and complete a qualifying booking with a partner. This commission is paid by the travel provider — it does not increase the price you pay. You always pay the same as booking direct with the airline or provider.

Our current affiliate partners include: TravelPayouts / Aviasales, Booking.com, Klook, WelcomePickups, Yesim, World Nomads, GetYourGuide, Omio, and Discover Cars. Affiliate relationships do not influence which deals we feature or how we rank results.

In compliance with the ASA/CAP Code and UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, we clearly identify commercial arrangements on our site.

4. ATOL protection

TripHunt is not an ATOL holder and does not provide ATOL financial protection. When you book a flight or package via our links, ATOL protection may or may not apply depending on the provider and the nature of the booking (e.g. package vs flight-only).

If ATOL protection applies to your booking, the travel provider will issue you an ATOL Certificate at time of booking. You can verify ATOL status at caa.co.uk. Always check your ATOL Certificate and confirm protection before booking non-refundable ancillaries.

5. Travel insurance — regulatory notice

TripHunt links to World Nomads travel insurance. TripHunt is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and does not provide insurance advice. Links to travel insurance products are provided for information only. You should read the policy wording carefully before purchasing. World Nomads policies are underwritten by their respective insurance companies — please see the World Nomads website for full regulatory details.

Always consider whether travel insurance is appropriate for your trip. Medical, cancellation, and baggage cover can protect you from significant financial loss.

6. Price accuracy

Flight prices change rapidly and without notice. Prices displayed on TripHunt are pulled from our data sources at the time of retrieval but we cannot guarantee they will be available when you click through. Always verify the final price on the airline or booking site before completing your purchase.

Where we show "typical price", "normal price", or similar comparisons, these are estimates based on historical price data for that route and are indicative only. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of historical price comparisons.

7. Error fares and mistake prices

Error fares are airline pricing anomalies, typically caused by technical or human error. They can disappear at any time. Airlines may honour error fares after ticketing — but they are also legally entitled to cancel and refund bookings made at a clearly mistaken price in many circumstances.

TripHunt makes no guarantee that any error fare will be honoured by the airline. If you book an error fare: (a) do not book non-refundable hotels, transfers, or visas until your e-ticket is issued and confirmed by the airline; (b) check the airline's own cancellation policy; (c) consider travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

8. Deal alerts and email communications

If you subscribe to TripHunt price alerts or the weekly digest, you will receive emails about flight deals. We send a maximum of 3 emails per week. You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing hello@triphunt.org. We do not sell your email address. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Email communications constitute marketing communications under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). We only send emails with your explicit consent.

9. Intellectual property

All content on TripHunt — including text, design, code, logos, deal scoring methodology, and the selection and arrangement of information — is the intellectual property of TripHunt and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws. Destination photographs may be sourced from third-party providers (including Unsplash) under their respective licences.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from TripHunt content without our prior written consent, except where permitted by law (e.g. fair dealing for personal use).

10. Acceptable use

You may use TripHunt for lawful personal and non-commercial purposes only. You must not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content without written permission
  • Use automated tools at a rate that disrupts our infrastructure
  • Use the site for fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful purposes
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with TripHunt
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security measures

We reserve the right to block access for users who violate these terms.

11. Limitation of liability

TripHunt is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, TripHunt excludes all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

TripHunt is not liable for:

  • Price inaccuracies or changes after display
  • Failure to book a deal (including error fares being withdrawn)
  • Acts or omissions of third-party providers (airlines, hotels, booking platforms)
  • Loss of profit, loss of data, indirect or consequential loss
  • Service downtime or technical failures

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for: death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

12. Third-party services

TripHunt links to and integrates with third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party sites. Links do not constitute endorsements beyond the affiliate relationships disclosed above.

13. Complaints procedure

If you have a complaint about TripHunt's service, please email hello@triphunt.org with "Complaint" in the subject line. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 14 business days.

For disputes relating to bookings you have made with our affiliate partners, your contract is with the relevant provider and you should contact them directly.

Alternative Dispute Resolution: In line with the EU ODR Regulation and UK consumer protection requirements, we note the Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, though we are not obligated to participate as a non-trader in travel services. We encourage direct resolution.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of TripHunt shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights.

If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
