Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 1 March 2026Our commitment: TripHunt aims to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We are committed to meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA where possible for a site of this type.
Scope of this statement
This accessibility statement applies to the TripHunt website at triphunt.org, operated as a sole trader flight comparison service. TripHunt is a private sector website and is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 — however we voluntarily publish this statement in line with best practice.
Our accessibility approach
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Steps we have taken include:
- Semantic HTML5 markup throughout
- All navigation and interactive elements are keyboard accessible
- Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for body text (WCAG AA)
- Images use descriptive alt text where they convey information
- Form inputs have visible labels and error messages
- The site is responsive and works at 320px–1920px viewport widths
- ARIA roles and landmarks are used on key components (nav, main, dialog)
- Cookie banner uses role="dialog" and aria-describedby
- The site avoids conveying information by colour alone
- Interactive elements have visible focus states
- Page language is set to
lang="en"
Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA:
- Flight results table: Some complex data grids may not be fully optimised for screen reader navigation. We are working on improved ARIA table markup.
- Date picker: The custom calendar date picker may be difficult to use with keyboard alone on some older browsers. We plan to improve this in a future update.
- Live deal ticker: The animated deal ticker may cause issues for users with motion sensitivity. A reduced-motion preference via
prefers-reduced-motionis respected where the browser supports it. - Third-party content: Content and widgets from affiliate partners (Booking.com, Klook, etc.) are outside our control and may have their own accessibility limitations.
- Destination photography: Some decorative images sourced from Unsplash may have generic alt text; we are working through these systematically.
Assistive technologies tested
We have tested TripHunt with:
- NVDA (Windows) with Chrome and Firefox
- VoiceOver (macOS) with Safari
- VoiceOver (iOS) with Safari
- TalkBack (Android) with Chrome
- Keyboard-only navigation (no pointer device)
We aim to test with each major release. Our current testing was last completed in March 2026.
